A unique, comprehensive University, North Carolina A&T State University offers bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. degrees, with more than 89 undergraduate majors, more than 44 master's degree programs, and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical, industrial and electrical engineering. The academic programs are offered through the schools of Agriculture, Business and Economics, Education, Nursing, Technology, the Graduate School, and the Colleges of Engineering and Arts and Sciences. North Carolina A&T's modern facilities include a $16 million state-of-the-art library, a newly installed $2 million computer center that is part of the new $9.5 million Fort Interdisciplinary Research Center, and well-equipped computer teaching and research laboratories. A new $8 million School of Technology building will be completed this year.

The Lower Technical School of Oulu was established in 1892 and it's operation started in autumn 1894.  Established technical education dates from autumn 1899 when the school was changed into the Oulu Industrial School providing 2-year daytime education.  The Technical School of Oulu was established in 1941 to continue the operation of The Oulu Industrial School.  Educational structure was improved and the studies were taken to three years.

San Francisco State University (SFSU) is the fifth largest campus in the 22-campus California State University (CSU) system with an enrollment of about 27,000 students (21,000 undergraduate and 6,000 graduate). The CSU system is the largest four-year system of public education in the nation. It awards more than half of the bachelor's degrees and 30 percent of the master's degrees granted in California; it trains 70% of the teachers for California public schools. SFSU is an urban comprehensive university that serves the ethnically diverse Bay Area population of 3.5 million; its student body reflects this diversity.

The university offers baccalaureate degrees in 114 academic areas. The School of Engineering offers Bachelor's of Science degrees in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering, all three of which are fully accrediated by ABET. The school also offers Master's of Science degree in Engineering.

An advanced education in wireless consists of three main areas. The first area covers the wireless media, the technology for communicating in this media, and the air interface standards. The second area includes the networking and protocols in the telephone network and packet-based networks that enable backhaul, handoffs, and internetworking. The University of Houston (UH), located in the nation's fourth largest metropolitan area, is a public, urban institution of higher education, chartered under the State of Texas. Twelve colleges make up the University of Houston.

College of Technology - Electrical-Electronics Technology Department The College of Technology has over 1500 students in a variety of majors spanning the highly technical to industrial and social fields of study. The Electrical-Electronics Technology (ELET) department offers two undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Technology degrees and one graduate Master of Technology degree. The two Bachelor of Science degrees have majors of Computer Engineering Technology and Electrical Technology. Both of these degrees are accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The curricula of these majors are designed to give students a strong understanding of the principles of the fields of study and a good understanding of industrial applications. Nearly every technical course has a laboratory to emphasize practical knowledge associated with the major.

The Electrical-Electronics Technology Department offers a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering Technology which has emphasis in networking and telecommunications. The University of New Mexico is one of only two universities which are both a Carnegie I research university and a hispanic serving institution.  The EECE department is the largest engineering department.  We offer ABET- accredited programs in both Electrical and Computer Engineering.  The EECE department has strong thrust research areas in systems and control, applied electromagnetics, optelectronics, microelectronics, signal processing and communications and computer engineering.

University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez PDF Print E-mail

The University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez is a Land Grant, Sea Grant, and Space Grant University founded in 1911. Today, over 765 professors and researchers, 1,175 supporting staff, and approximately 13,000 students, staff the UPR Mayaguez Campus. With over 4,600 engineering students, it ranks 7th in the nation in undergraduate engineering enrollment and 10th in award degrees. In addition, it's one of the largest, very few, Hispanic engineering schools in the United States.

The UPR Mayaguez is fully accredited by the Middle State Association of Schools and Colleges, of which it has been a member since 1946. All engineering programs are accredited by ABET. The engineering program also counts with one of the largest female student population in the U.S. just behind Texas A & M. With almost 40% of women, it also has the highest percentage of female undergraduate students in engineering in the U.S., followed by MIT with 30% female students in engineering.
