Ericsson 880 Radio Labs - Part 1 & 2

Objectives

• Prepare the Ericsson 880 Base Station RBS equipment for testing
• Verify the DC voltages associated with the Radio Channel unit
• Align the four (4) 880 radio transceivers in your assigned radio rack
• Become familiar with the operation of the Marconi 2955/2957 Radio Communications Test Set
• Use Ericsson Local Control Program for the 880 Radio Base Station transeivers
• Measure the characteristics of an antenna in terms of return loss, resonant frequency, matching impedance and VSWR over a specified frequency spectrum range

This lab provides exercises for signal analysis of basic RF circuits found in modern communications systems. Approriate test equipment and measurement techniques are used.
